Gum Disease

If you are looking to straighten your teeth with clear or accelerated braces. Metro Smiles is here to help.

Gum Disease

If your gums are painful, swollen, or if they bleed when you brush your teeth, you may have gum disease. Most people experience this at least once in their lives, but a visit to Metro Smiles can help put things right and prevent gum disease from happening again.

Gum Disease

Gum disease in its early stages is also known as gingivitis. If it is not properly treated, an aggravated form of gum disease can develop, called periodontitis. In this case, damage to different tissues and to the jaw can result in teeth loosening and eventually falling out. Periodontitis is currently the biggest cause of tooth loss.

Your Metro Smiles dentist can help you fight and overcome gum disease by thoroughly cleaning your teeth and removing hardened plaque (tartar). Regular visits help make sure that gum disease does not endanger your teeth. Our Metro Smiles specialists can also advise you if advanced medical or dental treatment is necessary.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Respons

Here at Metro Smiles, we have always prioritized putting patients and employee well being first. We all share the concerns about the ongoing precautions of COVID-19 and are taking all precautions recommended by ADA, CDC, and Illinois Dental Society to maintain a safe environment for our patients and staff.

Our primary concern has always been the safety of our patients, staff and community. Following the recommendations by the ADA, CDC, Illinois Dental Society and the State of Illinois, we have decided to temporary close our offices to help limit the spread of the virus.

We greatly apologized for any inconvenience caused by this decision.

If you have a dental emergency, please feel free to contact us at 847-331-0901, as our team can help explore options.
